Letting Go

Letting Go

What Do I let go of?

What do I keep?

Only this heart of mine,

Knows.

And my mind tells me,

That love is gone,

That the moon will never look like this again,

That my sensual body will not shine again,

That my poetry will not flow again,

That my eyes will not shine again,

With our love,

Glimmers of light spiral from my heart,

That say,

“Loving without a reason,

Is the truest love,

Look out your window,

At majestic oaks,

Can your heart close?

Can your passionate love for wind, for peaks, for crashing waves cease?

Fall in love with all of creation,

This is your purpose now,

Is the purpose for all with a heart,

That has felt the deep sinking ache,

Of a leaving lover.

The lovers ache is eternal,

Continually spirals all to let go,

Of what has chosen to leave us.

What is left Is to love what we truly love,

In this precious moment with all of our hearts.

Thank Goodness,

The speed of  a lovers heartbeat,

Is the only speed that matters,

The speed of love without a reason,

Cracks the barrier of heartbreak…
