Of Course

Of Course, I Love You

Our soft feminine bodies,

Hearts pressed tenderly together,

I whisper softly within your ear pressed upon our shared pillow,

A response to your question,

“Do you love me?”

“Of course I love you”.

Still, I feel the cavern between,

Our Distrust and vulnerability,

Could I muster up all of my integrity courage,

And shout out loudly,

With all of my gentle might,

With all of the fear of regretting this vulnerable shout,

With all of the real ness of our kisses,

“I am afraid of loosing myself in you”.

“I am Afraid of needing you”.

“I am Afraid of being fully seen by you”

“I am afraid of being left all alone with this love”.

And then,

The great exhale of truth may fill this sacred bedroom,

And the cells of our soft bodies may let go,

Of holding tightly to hiding.

And perhaps,

we could surrender together,

To what love truly is.

Could you brave it with me?.....
